From Conflict to Connection: A Parent’s Guide to Emotion Coaching Teens

(learn the three simple steps in this guide)

Hello More Beautiful Listeners-

Thank you for tuning in to the episode. Maryanne had some excellent questions prepared, and I hope you found valuable insights that you can apply to your parenting journey.

Parenting teens can be a challenge.

It often feels like we can't quite "reach" our kids, and the strategies that worked when they were little are no longer effective. Any attempts at communication often lead to escalated conversations, rolled eyes, and slammed doors.

I get it. I’ve been there and had the privilege of working with hundreds of parents and their teens to navigate these tumultuous times.

Our kids are struggling. Depression, anxiety, and suicide have risen at an alarming rate over my 25-year career, and I know this puts an added layer of pressure on parents to do things “right”.

This is why I founded Parent CARE.

ParentCARE is a science-based social-emotional curriculum for parents and guardians. I am committed to working with parents because I have seen firsthand that boosting the well-being of parents and caretakers is the most effective way to support our kids.

There is no stronger taproot of love than that of a parent or caregiver. If we harness this love, tend to ourselves, and learn how to open our loving (and sometimes traumatized hearts) within a supportive community, we have a potent tool to combat the despair that is so prevalent.

As a result of my own midlife awakening, I am expanding my business to get this vital message out to more parents and caregivers. While I've primarily focused on partnering with schools to deliver Parent CARE, in 2024, I'm bringing it directly to you. We'll have a Parent CARE Live online group, a digital at-your-own-pace course, in-person workshops and retreats, and I'm also working on a book.

In the meantime, as we prepare for these exciting developments, I'd like to offer you two complimentary resources to help improve your relationships with your teens (and others) right now.

When you download these resources, you’ll be added to a list so I can update you when my new and improved programming is available.
